Barbarian Capitalists - (Of Barbarians and French Poodles)
R.A. Hawkins

“If you will not fight for right when you can easily win without bloodshed; if you will not fight when your victory is sure and not too costly; you may come to a moment when you will have to fight with all odds against you and only a precarious chance of survival. There may even be a worse case. You may have to fight when there is no hope of victory; because it is better to perish than to live as a slave.”  --- Winston S. Churchill

One of the amazing things about Agenda 21 is the way in which certain groups can get companies to do things that are damaging to their business future. If one looks closely at the green agenda, it is the antithesis to the market driven economy and all of its shopping malls and the resulting dumps that are overflowing with throw away items. It’s amazing, all of that marketing and sales, funding and advertising its way into oblivion. Wow! At its core it is a system that will result in a very few people at the top who don’t have to worry about competition because they all out shafted everyone else. There are numerous examples of this green thinking that will ruin the hosts they have attached themselves to.

I think that PayPal is a great example to use here for several reasons. PayPal is now owned by eBay, which was founded by French-born Iranian-American computer programmer Pierre Omidyar. eBay is based in San Jose, California, so what follows will not be mysterious or hard to understand at all. PayPal used to say it was okay to sell collectable firearms, meaning those made before 1898. But they changed that and now their system isn’t allowed to be used for anything having to do with ammo, firearms or anything regarding the Second Amendment. If they’re questioned they’ll probably bring up some ridiculous garbage about liability. I can’t seem to remember one instance they might be able to point to as their reason for making this choice. What does trampling the Second Amendment have to do with the green agenda? Everything! You can’t force sovereign citizens to do anything. You have to have subjects. Remember this is the UN and the UN is all about global governance.

One has to ask what kind of person will be comfortable at a company such as PayPal. They say that all organizations take on the personality of the guy at the top. That means people at the bottom are going to be a reflection of that guy. We have this bad attitude towards the Second Amendment as company policy, so what are we going to find sitting at the lower end of the company? The same attitude, only with a lower IQ. There is a subtlety required to quietly subjugating a nation and you don’t usually find that at the bottom of the barrel or even in the midlevel of the barrel because of the ‘Peter Principle’. (People rise to their level of incompetency and never drop back down to where they should be because nobody can admit they shouldn’t have elevated that person in the first place.)

For those who are involved in the battle against Agenda 21the name of Sheriff Mack is a familiar one. He is the founder of the Constitutional Sheriff Association and he teaches Sheriffs’ all over the country about their duty and what their oath really means. He is also teaching them that they are a bulwark against the federal government and the UN and all of their lawyers and NGO’s. Sheriff Mack was using PayPal for donations to this project. Remember that lower level guy with the subtlety wit and charm of a jellyfish in a hot tub that I mentioned? Yeah. The low IQ guy. PayPal locked out forty thousand dollars in donations from the public to his project, found here: http://www.sheriffmack.com/. Tom Tancredo even had to get into the fray. The money was released after the public came after them for their arrogance and attitude.

There was a similar story in the nineties, a gun store owner who tried to get a credit card for his business and the request was denied. A letter was sent to the gun store owner stating that they didn’t like the Second Amendment and therefore wouldn’t give him a card and to take his business elsewhere. That letter went viral on the internet and people started letting the company know what they thought. The credit card company quickly issued a public statement refuting this persons claim that it was company policy. I hope that former employee is still asking “Do you want fries with that sir?” Anne Coulter commented on her rejection letter from a Time Warner company in regards to her first book once she had found a rational publisher. The rejection letter said they didn’t feel her book would add anything positive to the national debate. She said anybody who had stock in that company might want to reconsider their investment, because rather than growing the stock value they were trying to control the national debate. It didn’t take long before they started to have problems with their stock price. And that is the way to handle a company that decides they want to run with political driven barbarian capitalism.

I think it’s time to take a page from the liberals again and let them feel the heat. I wouldn’t normally politicize a business, but then they were the ones who decided to be anti-Second Amendment/Apple pie etc. If more people abandon PayPal and similarly dispositioned businesses then we will stop funding our own demise. http://www.paypalsucks.com/ already has a good start on this so I’ll just point to them. They even have an alternative to PayPal in there for you to use. By the way, when you refuse to do business with someone because of their affiliations tell them why and then stick to it. Just refusing to do business with them doesn’t do the trick.

These strong arm barbarian capitalists are like a French poodle. If you get them wet there isn’t very much there. The authors of these green plans and those who help to implement them aren’t much different from the author of Kull and Conan the Barbarian. He was sickly and eventually committed suicide when his mother passed away. We’re looking at alter egos that need to be stripped of their armor, and their armor happens to be the people around them that do their bidding.  Please don’t feed the poodles! Throw water on them. Maybe they’ll melt like the wicked witch of the west!

Ideologically Driven Racism

R.A. Hawkins

In war, truth is the first casualty.

 - Aeschylus

Quite a few years back I knew a man who had worked his way off of welfare and finally gotten ahead. He has since retired and moved on, but I remember some of our conversations quite well. It was in the late eighties that an interesting statistic surfaced with the help of Rush Limbaugh:  65% of the people on welfare where white.  I wasn’t too surprised by this fact because I had suspected that to be the case. My friend laughed when he heard this because his wife was a social worker so she saw it every day. Every single person she dealt with was white. You’d never know that by watching the news though. Why would the media portray people wrongly? It is quite simply for the purpose of controlling the populace. This portrayal is a social wedge that is often employed to keep people where certain other people want them for the purposes of votes and the furtherance of a sick political agenda. This goes right back to Joseph Goebbels, Hitler’s chief propagandist -- “A lie, no matter how outrageous, if repeated often enough will eventually be accepted as truth.” He was a socialist lightweight though. How about the same thing from a heavyweight:  “A lie repeated often enough becomes truth.”-- Josef Lenin.  What we’re discussing is a tool used to create division in one area and cohesion in another. Before I move on to discuss stereotypes a little further, I’d like to mention a thing or two about welfare. Before welfare was implemented people were forced to be responsible for their own actions. Family members worked together and somehow they got by. Welfare actually provides incentive for individuals to be irresponsible and families to not be families. It is also another wedge. Government help is usually hurtful instead of helpful. Before everyone moved into the cities they got by and learned the right things. Not anymore. Now we have voter buy outs for benefits!

Another thing happened in the eighties that I really enjoyed seeing. I had the flu on the big day when Clarence Thomas responded to allegations of sexual misconduct. Anita Hill had made a point of following Clarence from job to job. When he was nominated for Supreme Court Justice she claimed he’d been nasty and had a history of unwanted sexual advances. When her work history came out it was obvious that she was obsessed with the guy. She had moved to be as close to him as possible throughout almost all of her work history. In the middle of the whole spectacle Clarence played the race card. Because I was ill that day I got to see Ted Kennedy look like he’d just been kicked in the ole family jewels and squirming like a hooker in church. What Clarence Thomas said was in reference to the liberals pulling out the stereotype of the “out of control black man who just can’t control his libido”. He may have played the race card, but it was clear after listening to all involved in that smear campaign that he was the only one playing with a full deck. Did I mention that the media made a point of creating this huge spectacle on the news and showed everything that happened in anticipation of Thomas getting reamed? It didn’t quite work out the way the media had planned.

Let’s contrast that with another event. Bill Clinton was often called the first black president and I don’t understand why. He did a great deal for the gay community, but really very little for anyone else. I guess calling him the first gay president didn’t resonate with some people. Bill championed a law that allowed civil court cases involving sexual harassment to be used in federal cases. He did that so the left would have yet another arrow in its quiver. Fortunately he was the one who took one for the team. He was impeached for perjury in a sexual harassment case. Perjury is a felony; it’s that simple. The media turned the whole mess into a ‘clear’ case of sexual misconduct which is personal business. Not even, but he was their white guy in the house and ideologically aligned with ‘them’ so sexual misconduct is okay as long as you’re one of theirs.

I think the most recent example of this corrupt journalistic practice was Herman Cain and the relentless accusations by women who wanted to come forward but just couldn’t for whatever their reason. The tactic was to just keep throwing accusations until something stuck and eventually it looked like there was a gaggle of accusers who appeared to be ‘afraid to come forward’ and one person finally came of the mud and spoke up. I have to say this to Herman Cain though…  “Dude really? How did you not see this as a possible problem?” Contrast the media lynching on this mess and on Clarence Thomas to the media game on Clinton.

I have watched all of this play out for years and it never ceases to amaze me. I can’t help but wonder what it feels like to be siding with the racists on the left. It can’t be very healthy to be siding with these psychological slavers.

What we have these days is censorship by media and the only way out of this is critical thinking. When someone begins tweaking our emotions and pushing critical thinking skills to be background we should beware. I think we need to take a page from the former occupied nations of Eastern Europe:  If it’s printed … don’t believe it. Do your own research and think!

Another USDA Power Grab? - (Nope! I’ll Take Sustainable Liberty Instead!)
R.A. Hawkins

"To relieve the Misfortunes of Our Fellow Creatures …. ‘tis godlike, But if we provide Encouragements for Laziness, and Support for Folly, may it not be found Fighting against the Order of God and Nature, …. Whenever we attempt to mend the Scheme of Providence and to interfere in the Government of the World, we had need be very circumspect, lest we do more harm than good."  --- Benjamin Franklin

United Nations’ Agenda 21 is nothing more than a poorly disguised wealth redistribution plan cloaked in environmentalism, and as Winston Churchill once said of these types of plans “Socialism is a philosophy of failure, the creed of ignorance, and the gospel of envy, its inherent virtue is the equal sharing of misery.” Cap and Trade was yet another aspect of Agenda 21 social engineering, but it finally got an oak stake through its black and shriveled heart.

Now the USDA has put their Environmental Justice Strategic Plan out there for comment. We have until January 7 to get our comments in. Here is the link to their plan. http://www.dm.usda.gov/hmmd/USDADraftEJStrategicPlansigned.pdf

You will notice the warm a fluffy sound of the whole thing right off the bat.  Here are the goals as outlined in the above document.

“USDA's Environmental Justice Strategic Plan provides an overarching vision that is reflected in our environmental justice goals. We have identified key priorities-to increase capacity building, public participation, and opportunities for minority, low-income, and Tribal populations-as well as the best ways to achieve results. USDA has purposely developed broad goals to guide its agencies in the development of their work plans, with specific and measureable targets adapted to appropriate responsibilities and priorities. I believe that this approach is necessary to address the complexity of environmental justice in a timely, deliberate, and coordinated manner.”

When you start reading it you find that it’s about race more than anything else. Our government hasn’t figured it out yet (actually they have. I’ll get to that in a moment). First off, the government shouldn’t be involved at all, but since they are they should be removing obstacles to progress.  Unfortunately they seem to think that handouts and removing obstacles are the same thing. As Lincoln said, and it’s actually an old Chinese proverb: “Give a man a fish and you feed him for a day. Teach a man to fish and you feed him for life.” Remember that thing I was going to get to? The politicians on the left have politicized everything and they use our tax dollars to campaign and to buy votes. The above plan continues that grand old leftist tradition of driving racist wedges. How do you think plans like this make people feel when they see certain groups being treated special? It makes the stupid ones angrier at those who are supposedly getting helped. The smart people get mad at who? They get mad at the corruption because they know these people who the left claim they’re helping are actually being ruined by a bunch of self-serving vote whores. Now out of these two different groups of people which one do you think will be more likely to go do something horrible? The left is very much aware of that as well.

The USDA is about all kinds of things ‘other’…. . By that I mean they’re into all kinds of things they shouldn’t be. They handle food stamps and other Social leveling schemes such as house loans and paying farmers to not grow crops (PRICE FIXING). Actually that paying farmers to not grow crops is quite a racket. Let’s say you have a couple of million bucks and you don’t want to put it in the stock market. Yeah the economy is sort of tanking. You can put your money in gold and watch it sparkle and hold its value in spite of the fact that its price is increasing because the economic placeholder is dropping in value….Or? Since it will hold its value pretty much over the long haul you can buy a large parcel of farmland. There are actual dividends to be paid for your wise investment. The USDA will then pay you to not grow crops in order keep food prices under control. I seriously doubt that these social leveling freaks have adjusted the amount of corn being produced in such a way as to prevent the new EPA ethanol levels in fuel requirements from impacting the price of food. Produced corn is now being directed into other areas of our economy. I doubt they’ve made allowances for that because if they have less money to give out to nonproducing farmers they have smaller budgets and less power. (Political Kryptonite) And what they’ve done with the fuel is rather interesting, not to mention criminal. Fuel lines and a wide variety of other engine parts can’t take the increased ethanol levels and because of that people are spending a lot more money on repairs. This is going to be impacting other sectors of our economy as money is redirected out of personal need.

I think that it’s time for these agencies who are pushing ‘Social Justice’ disguised as other named justice to find out what real social justice is. I have watched as agencies have intentionally blurred the lines in power grabs such as the FDA having banned aspirators from the market to honor EPA rulings, forcing people to spend a lot more on drugs than necessary. There have been many ‘rulings’ that have come down from these ascended agencies and none of them bear much resemblance to what they’re supposed to be doing. It is time for them to taste our boot heel for a while. They keep blurring the line so it’s time to erase them and the lines. Defund and reorganize!

You’ll find this towards the end of the USDA's Environmental Justice Strategic Plan mentioned above

“NOTE: This Strategic Plan is not classified as a rulemaking. It does not create any substantive or procedural right or benefit enforceable at law or equity by a party against USDA, its agencies, instrumentalities, officers, employees, or any other person.”

To which I reply “That’s what elections are for. Time for you to exit stage right!”

Go read the plan at the link I provided above and comment freely by January 7 at ejstrategy@osec.usda.gov

Let them feel the heat of your love. These social levelers are leveling our world and tanking our economies. Fight back!

While you’re looking at this link go to a search engine and just look do a few searches on ‘USDA’. You’ll be shocked at what they’re into.

Another Wedgie Anyone? - (These Wedgies Look More Like Daggers)
R.A. Hawkins

“Whoever wishes to foresee the future must consult the past: for human events ever resemble those of preceding times. This arises from the act that they are produced by men who are ever have been, and ever shall be, animated by the same passions, and thus they necessarily have the same result.” --- Machiavelli

As each candidate has risen to the top we have watched as they have been destroyed by mostly lies, sometimes the truth and occasionally by their own lack of debating skills. It looks to me like the media is pleased with where things are sitting right now. Right now Bachman and Santorum seem to be doing poorly, and the media is pleased with that. I’m not so sure I am. At the top of the pile we now have Newt, Paul and Romney.

Positives on Newt:  Newt did manage to create thomas.loc.gov, which put congress online and gave them transparency. This is a sharp contrast to the promised Obama transparency. He actually forced Clinton and the liberals to balance the budget and forced welfare reform down their throats. (I’m not so sure it was their throats, though.)  And there is really no way of telling how far he would have gone if he hadn’t quit over an affair. The whole ‘Contract with America’ was derailed when a certain Nazi blew up a building in Oklahoma and killed a lot of people. Up until that point the media stood by in horrified silence as they were railroaded by a seriously ticked off public. At that point the disgust towards anything the media said or did was impressive. I just realized I spent this space more or less explaining why Newt didn’t go any further, so let’s take another run at him. Negatives:  I think it can be summed up as “Did he really just say that?” He does tend to think out loud a bit too much.

Positives on Ron Paul:  I agree with him almost completely on his fiscal policies. That is his strong suit, and he’s the right one for the job on that alone….unfortunately. Negatives:  His foreign policy views are nothing short of insane and have no basis in history. He believes that the Muslim hatred towards us is our fault. Here is a simple example of what is wrong with that picture. Long before America existed and Europe was sacked, India was completely trashed and looted by adherents to Islam. They were finally run out of Europe and now they’re back. The radical Muslims are accomplishing through litigation what they couldn’t accomplish through open hostilities. There are radicals of the same stripe trying to work that same approach over here too. I fear that Ron Paul’s policy would make Obama’s foreign policy look like sheer genius.

Positives:  Romney….errrr…uh ….Nice hair?  Negatives:  He comes from a state that always voted John Kerry and Ted Kennedy back into office like they were Gods. How conservative can he be? Not very!

What do I think the media strategy is going to be this time? I only have to look at the election that got Clinton into office the first time.  Ross Perot ran against  H.W. Bush, then he left the race saying there had been threats and implied that it might possibly have been Bush’s team who was responsible. Then he came back into the race and split the vote. Clinton rolled in to the White House, and the Democrats cheered over having a popular mandate. It was all downhill from there. The media played a huge roll in that wreck of an election and they’ll try to do it again. Here is what they did. Each and every news station said the Clinton camp was afraid that Perot might take votes away from them.  Here’s your homework, folks:  You go out and find one single person that voted for Perot that would have considered voting for Clinton. I bet you won’t find a single one. The media, who never tells the truth intentionally, convinced a large enough group of people that it would be safe to toss a vote to Perot since it was the Clinton’s that were worried.

I see the media lining up the next game almost the exact same way. Trump, who has historically supported liberals, hasn’t ruled out a third party run. Go look at who he donates to and what he says. He’s been on every side of every issue so he really doesn’t know what he believes in or stands for. I was listening to my favorite station on the way to work a few days ago and one of the disc jockeys said he’d been watching the news and wondered what the media was up to. Then it hit him … the newscaster smiled at the camera and mused as she pondered the big question. “I wonder if he might decide to run third party.” Well he hasn’t even tried to win as a Republican so if he runs as a third party candidate it will be typical Trump clown act. The only thing he tried to do was look like the big Republican king by hosting a debate. I guess that’s supposed to give him street creds.

Ross Paul, I mean Ron Perot, hasn’t said he won’t run as a third party candidate. Don’t forget that he didn’t like Reagan. And don’t listen when the media paints him as Reaganesque. In 1988 Paul ran as an independent. He won’t surprise me if he does it again. Those are the two daggers pointed at the heart of America’s election right now.

To those of you who haven’t suffered enough under Obama….During the primaries have your fun voting and making a political statement.  But act like a petulant little kid during the general elections and you’ll get what you deserve if Obama gets another term because of it. Unfortunately a lot of people around you will also get what you deserve and they aren’t going to give a rats rear about you after that. I know that’s the approach I’ll be taking.

73% and Proud of It - (Is It Stockholm Syndrome? Stupidity? Or Cowardice?)
R.A. Hawkins

There is a point where people actually begin to break down and try to seek out some order and humanity where it doesn’t exist. They finally begin to merge with and sympathize with their captors. It’s called Stockholm Syndrome. It is so named because of an event that occurred in which bank employees were held hostage from August 23 to August 28, 1973. They mistook the fact they weren’t being abused with acts of kindness. The FBI Hostage Barricade Database System says that 27% of all victims show signs of Stockholm syndrome.  In DC I think the percentage is more like 99%.

During Clinton’s inauguration there was an interesting exchange when the customary over flight of jets occurred. Ron Silver blew a gasket because of that over flight until he realized those jets belonged to them. They have an ‘us versus them’ mentality and I’m good with that. I think that it’s about the only thing they ever get right. What I have a problem with is the apparent Stockholm Syndrome in the conservatives. I read an interesting commentary by Horowitz recently wherein he was amazed as he was being introduced as a person that had once disagreed with the conservatives on many things but not anymore. Horowitz was blown away by the fact that these people didn’t get the fact that his family had been card carrying members of a group that was out to take the country down by any means. It wasn’t that they disagreed. It was the hatred. The current White House resident is even more blatant in his contempt. Look at the people he’s put into place. One or two have been run out of there and it isn’t looking too good for Holder (Yay!), but there are still so many and all of them are from backgrounds that don’t give me a warm fuzzy feeling.

Where does the Stockholm Syndrome I’m referring to come in?  It comes from the good cop bad cop game that’s regularly played in DC.  I’m talking about the media. They usually play the role of bad cop with impunity. We are now witnessing the media selection of the next liberal media target and he isn’t getting it at all. For that fact neither are the Republicans. We have had one accuser after another come out and throw accusations at Herman Cain.  People are starting to get battle weary over it too.  A good example of this syndrome is what Allen West said about Herman Cain.  He said Cain should get out of the race because he’s becoming a distraction.  Because I’m one of the 73 percent I have to say this to Allen:  “Did you hit your head or are you an idiot? Because Cain is just running for office and it’s the media that is tossing the trash around, not Cain. Why is it that you want to capitulate so quickly? I realize that you may think it’s a good idea to push Cain out because he may have had an affair and replace him with someone who has had two of them, but I’m just not that stupid. What’s up with this? Does Stockholm Syndrome have you too just because they’re not beating on you right now?”

Speaking of Stockholm Syndrome and affairs…The media already ate Gingrich’s lunch over affairs as did the Republican Party. I guarantee you they’re waiting to dredge all of that back up including the fact that tossing a guy who might have and keeping one who has had affairs is hypocritical. Not that the bad cop should be saying anything after their handling of Clinton. Clinton was impeached for perjury using a law he pushed in hopes of being able to use it as a tool against the Right. The media both at the time and present still refer to that whole thing as a private matter, which highlights what I’ve always said about liberals. They lowered the bar to a point where it’s a tripping hazard. Back to Gingrich again, the Republican Party pretty much ran him out of there over allegations of yet another affair. He seemed to later find solace in the arms of the Left as he bought into the global warming hype. Those who had been behind the initial attacks on him regarding the affair (the media) were no longer beating on him. He smiles for them again. He thinks they’re being kind to him I suspect. We have numerous quotes out of him regarding the environment these days. I remember the man who forced welfare reform and was moving quickly to start reviewing the laws the various agencies make in order to ensure they weren’t overstepping their Congressionally granted authority.

Unfortunately a certain Nazi decided to blow up a building in Oklahoma in order to pay the government back for the Waco disaster. If it hadn’t been for his actions we’d be looking at a different world and a different Newt. That pivotal moment gave a limping whimpering media back its momentum because once again they could smear us (their enemies) with Saul Alinsky style accusations and labels of racism, etc.

Yeah! I’m proud to be one of the 73% that doesn’t buy it. They claim they’re enemies with me and I take that label with pride and I won’t be voting anyone in who I view as one of the 27%.

Since Cain's wife started this group he may not be giving up after all.

King Kermit? - (Girls, if’n you kiss this frog you’ll just get a toad!)
R.A. Hawkins

For several weeks I wrote about Agenda 21 and since they never seem to stop or slow down I’ll probably be doing this again and again. Today I’ll be writing about another tool of the Agenda 21 freaks. It’s called Biodiversity. This lovely little term has been used to rip a lot of land right out from under the feet of the owners on behalf of bugs, birds, etc. Before I continue here I’d like to make a point that I’ll be making a lot: How did it come to this? Easy. None of us did anything about it. We went to the mall and shopped and memorized the stats of athletes. In short we fiddled while Rome burned. If we as a people don’t want our children or grandchildren living in what amounts to a storage crate’s space all stacked one on the other we better get moving.

At the moment the Fish and Wildlife Service has a newspaper notification out stating that we have a chance to request a hearing before they yank some seven thousand plus acres and dedicate it to the Gopher Frog. Three thousand of those acres are private property. There is a place where everyone can weigh in on this land grab, as well as the need for having or not having a hearing. I think the part that ticks me off the most is that they’ll let us request a hearing. I’m sorry, but this is private property. This is so King George-like or Marie Antoinette-ish. You’ll consider allowing a hearing regarding someone else’s property you’re going to steal? I think that’s the first thing that needs to be attacked. A hearing should be required, pure and simple, unless a person is donating their land for something like this. I do realize that some people actually do have those special family members that could drive a person to leave all their belongings to a frog or fish just to spite them, but don’t try to lump the rest of us in there with them.

Here is what they say in regards to this hearing:

“Accordingly, the final decision may differ from this proposal. Public Hearings Section 4(b) (5) of the Act provides for one or more public hearings on this proposal, if requested. Requests must be received within 45 days of the publication of this proposed rule in the Federal Register. Such requests must be sent to the address shown in FOR FURTHER INFORMATION CONTACT. We will schedule public hearings on this proposal, if any are requested, and announce the dates, times, and places of those hearings, as well as how to obtain reasonable accommodations, in the Federal Register and local newspapers at least 15 days before the hearing.”

Here is how they can determine the need for even putting this notice out there for us little people to see.

“Executive Order 12866 The Office of Management and Budget (OMB) has determined that this rule is not significant and has not reviewed this proposed rule under Executive Order 12866 (Regulatory Planning and Review). OMB bases its determination upon the following four criteria: (1) Whether the rule will have an annual effect of $100 million or more on the economy or adversely affect an economic sector, productivity, jobs, the environment, or other units of the government. (2) Whether the rule will create inconsistencies with other Federal agencies' actions. (3) Whether the rule will materially affect entitlements, grants, user fees, loan programs, or the rights and obligations of their recipients. (4) Whether the rule raises novel legal or policy issues. Regulatory Flexibility Act (5 U.S.C. 601 et seq.) Under the Regulatory Flexibility Act (RFA; 5 U.S.C. 601 et seq.), as amended by the Small Business Regulatory Enforcement Fairness Act of 1996 (SBREFA; 5 U.S.C. 801 et seq.), whenever an agency is required to publish a notice of rulemaking for any proposed or final rule, it must prepare and make available for public comment a regulatory flexibility analysis that describes the effects of the rule on small entities (i.e., small businesses, small organizations, and small government jurisdictions). However, no regulatory flexibility analysis is required if the head of an agency certifies the rule will not have a significant economic impact on a substantial number of small entities. The SBREFA amended the RFA to require Federal agencies to provide a certification statement of the factual basis for certifying that the rule will not have a significant economic impact on a substantial number of small entities.”

With friends like these who needs enemies? They seem to be concerned with shafting everyone but the ones who are paying their salaries. This looks to me like another government entity that needs to be defunded. At the bottom I have placed a link so you can weigh in on this as long as you do so by November 28th. You will note that the page where you’re weighing in tells you they’ll try to keep your personal information private. I’m sorry, but that sounds like a bit of a veiled threat.

Here is how you, too, can weigh in on this:

In closing, how would the Agenda 21 world look? I point to the Occupy Wall Street crowd and what they’re up to. Their world will be a world of dissatisfaction and protests that get put down suddenly and violently because nobody will be able to stand up to them. Because of the predatory capitalism we’ve allowed through lobbying, there will be no competition between corporations. There will be ‘the’ food company, ‘the’ energy company and ‘the’ entertainment company, etc. I take a small amount of amusement from one little fact here. If the Occupy movement really gets the momentum up that they need in order to accomplish anything using violence, it will be right smack in the middle of the many bastions of liberal hubris. And like all poorly adapted parasites they will kill their hosts.

Cain as Abel - (You say electable. I say Strumpet.)
          R.A. Hawkins

As I’ve watched the sweaty desperation ratchet up on the left side of the aisle I’ve been amused at their antics. First there were two women making accusations. The media claimed they would tell all, but then suddenly they weren’t going to talk. But at that point it didn’t matter. The media-girly men, and the women who tower above them, were already on the job and treating him like Richard Jewel. You remember him, right? He was the guy who prevented a lot of people from being hurt by a bomb in Atlanta during Caligula on the Potomac’s reign. (Clinton, for those who don’t remember.) By the time they were done with him, Clinton included, he had been tarred and feathered. It was the same kind of criminal journalism that we are seeing here again. We are going to be seeing this kind of infantile politics right up to the election. This is desperation pure and simple. The fourth  accuser? Right off of a script. I understand there’s even a fifth accuser. I quit listening to the media after the fourth. They are going to try to give him the death of a thousand cuts. At this point the media could tell me that he’s a king of the Merovingian line and the Grand Dragon of the KKK and provide absolute proof and I wouldn’t even notice. They picked our last candidate McCain, and we lost the election because the Republican Party picked a sellout and tried to dress him up as a leader.

Back to the fourth accuser. She held this charge in her back pocket for 14 years? Really? And she looked so believable as she read that script, too. The nice thing about this is that there will be records of some sort. One way or the other the truth will come out and this will get settled. This gal is not very believable. There is an old trick used in politics and this smells a lot like it. At a critical juncture you sling an accusation at your opponent and it is best if you make it look like you aren’t involved. (Isn’t she from Chicago? Uh, yeah, I think she is. Nice shot, Rahm.) Slinging this accusation takes your opponent off of his message and makes him deal with the lies. If the timing is right the opponent is smeared with something that either causes him to quit in disgust or that he can’t adequately refute in time and the accusations stick. This is dirty politics tactic number one.

The amusing thing is that this appears to have brought up the old specter of Obama’s sexuality. Certain people who have studied Alinsky are gearing up. The left may end up wishing they hadn’t started this one. There were a lot of rumors and accusations during his campaign. The media never picked up on any of them…. They were in love. And since they were in love they never once gave a moment of thought to all of the flaws in this man. He knew Reverend Wright for how long and claimed to be unaware of his rants and hatred? His relationship to Ayers was glossed over and they didn’t even want to discuss what a community organizer was. Somehow it’s a little harder to sell a ‘Communist Agitator’ as something good for us, so they called him a Community Organizer.  What we’re seeing from the media is nothing short of pathological. They are to be ignored and I hope they continue to go out of business.

The media and left in general are ruining a guy who worked his tail off all of his life and excelled. He has been married for 45 years or so and to the same woman. Oops! Yeah that may be the source of their jealousy. He hasn’t been caught doing anything they can use to control him and he’s done well. Unlike their candidate who has never done anything so he doesn’t understand how anything works. Why are they doing this? Because they want Romney as our candidate against theirs. From here on out when I see Jesse Jackson or Al Sharpton talking on TV I’ll see them as hookers in red dresses on a street corner. It’s because of all of the racism they’re allowing to be directed at Cain through tacit approval. They are as honorless as they get. Before these liars and their sycophants are finished they’ll be trying things like “You know if you turn 999 upside down it’s 666. We’re just saying!”

When I see what they’ve turned on Cain and how they’re working this I know that’s the man I want in the White House. They want Romney because they can beat him using the same thing many of us don’t like about him. He had his own Romneycare problem and then there’s that religion thing. Let him approach success and see what they start saying about him then. To those who don’t remember, the Republican Party didn’t want Reagan; we the people did. That’s how this is going to have to go. I’m fed up with the word electable!

10 < 5 =  Government Help - (It Just Never Quite Translates into Reality)
           R.A. Hawkins

This commentary is addressed to everybody as an example of what I’ve been writing about for a while. At the end of last week’s commentary (Gaia Rights) I have a link regarding a one hour or so presentation on Agenda 21. In that presentation Ruth Esser discusses environmental officials coming onto your property and putting meters on your personal water well. They actually like to think they own the water down there. This is how it starts right here. To those of you who live in the Mississippi counties of Pearl River, George, Hancock, Harrison, Jackson and Stone you might just want to send your comments to the address or the email I’ll place at the bottom of this commentary.

On October 25th I and many others attended a public hearing with the MDEQ. (Mississippi Department of Environmental Quality) I was quite pleased with the turnout in spite of the fact that they decided to have the meeting at a time and place that made sure a lot of people wouldn’t be able to attend. It was set at about 6 PM you know….dinner time, and it was held at the Community College in Poplarville, which if you’re unfamiliar with the lower six counties in MS, is in Northern Pearl River County and is the north westernmost county, nearly three hours drive from the south easternmost county. A central location for this meeting apparently wasn’t available! Still 143 of us made it and the officials weren’t very comfortable. It was a Hearing on surface and ground water usage that involved publicly and privately owned water companies and water associations and there was a little something tossed in about ground water replacement wells which were never defined anywhere.

Angela Burkes Hill, our State Senator elect, and a Lawyer for water associations nailed it right out of the gate. This was an agency that was clearly overreaching its charter. They were going to make sure that all of us little people got our water as cheaply as possible. Imagine that! A government agency that thinks it knows efficiency better than the free market with all of us making our own choices. The lowest prices will generally be with the most efficient person or company. The highest prices will always be with the monopoly. Since they were planning on putting themselves at the top of that food chain it was obvious they would only drive costs up. Now this agency is supposed to be making sure we have clean air and water. It is in no way supposed to have anything to do with the economy or pricing of anything. I’m guessing that they no longer have anything productive to do in that office since they decided to try this. I’m thinking that they need to be neutered at this point. I can tell that we have a few feisty politicians that feel the same way. One State Senator told them that they will listen to him and the people now or they will be listening to him when it’s budget time. He said it may well be time to defund them. They were listening pretty closely at that point.

I particularly enjoyed the comments from some of the attendees. My favorite was this “The only growth industry we have in this country is government”. What I found annoying with some of the attendees was the notion that they had to ask them to reconsider this action. They were the reason I didn’t want to get near a microphone. After I had thanked everyone for showing up I would have been inclined to chew them out for begging MDEQ to do anything. They don’t get to be our masters until we start acting like that. It really is that simple.

They provided us with a Q and A sheet regarding the hearing. It was pretty lame in my opinion. I had already read the proposed changes and didn’t like a bunch of appointees stepping into control the free market. When I’d gotten to the bottom of the page and read the catch all statement there I was livid. I was pleased that everyone else had called it a catch all statement, too. Now back to that Q and A sheet. I was close to rolling on the floor in laughter when I read it. There was a statement there that was amusing. It said this wasn’t a power grab. Fortunately most of us had already read the proposed changes and knew better. There were also assurances that this would only affect the areas mentioned. One man reminded them of an incident where they’d said the same thing regarding a previous regulation change and that regulation change was statewide within two months.

That catch all statement reminded me of a few lines out of the ‘70’s Rock Opera ‘Phantom of the Paradise’, a story of a man who sells his soul to the devil. The cantata he wrote in this rock opera was about Faust, which echoed his own life quite nicely. Now back to that special line…. He reads it out loud to Paul Williams (The Devil) and asks what its meaning. When he gets his answer he signs in blood using the pen Paul Williams stabs his finger with. What were those lines?

“All articles that are excluded shall be deemed included.  …..What does that mean?”

“Oh that. That’s just a transportation clause.”

I suggest that everybody not listen to those who are trying to get you to sign on to stupid ideas. Think for yourselves and if you live in any of the areas I mentioned at the top of this article I suggest you send your comments in by November 5th, 2011 and let them know you won’t tolerate this. Originally all comments had to be in by October 24th, but because of the massive response this has received they have extended the comment period.

Here is the snail mail address:

Or email to:

For those who would like to see the changes I’m referring to here is the link they provided. If you’d rather not get the same runaround I did, at the bottom of this section there’s a link to a copy of the document. http://www.deq.state.ms.us    under the heading of “Proposed regulations” At least that’s what their printout out said. The Q and A handout didn’t say anything like that. I had to go over there to find the right page where the above instructions might actually apply. Here’s that page: http://www.deq.state.ms.us/newweb/MDEQRegulations.nsf?OpenDatabase

Now after you get really tired of trying that here’s a link to what the meeting was about with the proposed changes. This is the title at the top of their Q and A sheet “Reduction of Public Water Infrastructure Costs” After you’re through with getting the same runaround I just went on trying to provide this information, here is a link to the notification on the actual proposed changes. http://files.meetup.com/1404856/MDEQ%20Proposed%20Changes.pdf

Gaia Rights - (Champagne Socialists, Nazis and Commies… Oh My!)
R.A. Hawkins

During the seventies and early eighties we watched the rise of Green Peace as they battled the evil whale slayers. Many of us were quite impressed with what they were accomplishing, but it wasn’t too long before they started to turn a little red on the inside. Their tactics were similar, but the goals were different. I had one friend who was on a submarine that they tried to block with one of their zodiacs. The sub Captain was nice at first, but then he realized that he was dealing with radicals so he used the water hose on them. They moved and the sub went back to work. I had given a few donations to them up to that point, but I noticed the big change when after that happened. They sent a request for money because they had a special project they were working on. They were going to put up a steel net to capture a cruise missile during its test flight.  Their claim was that they were trying to protect the happy animals of the forest from scary noises. All I could think was ‘Really? So you don’t want them scared by something that’s going to amount to nothing more than a clap of thunder, after which they would just go back to eating? Your idea is to catch the offender and start a forest fire instead? Who are you really working for?’ As if I really had to ask. I knew exactly whose idea this was. It was the same collectivists that organized war protests over here and anti-nuke protests all across Europe. Needless to say, I didn’t send them any more money. I also told them what I thought of their brilliant idea. I think I might have offended them because they didn’t send any more donation requests.

Now since I titled this Gaia Rights, let’s go there for a moment or two. The radical left has chosen Gaia the earth mother as their icon. A very pretty earth mother I might add. They had to create their very own earth mother because the old one is part of the problem in their minds. The original earth mother or earth goddess was a little heavy and very pregnant to show the bounty of the earth, but if you’re choosing a symbol for your cause and you see man as a cancer the real earth mother has to go. So you have a group of people that want to go back to living the old way to some extent only without all of the people and they couldn’t even get along with the real earth goddess.

Who are these people? Here are three of the biggies. Remember that cruise missile game? That stupid cruise missile idea was a sign that green peace had been co-opted. That was a few years before this quote:

“Gentlemen, comrades, do not be concerned about all you hear about Glasnost and Perestroika and democracy in the coming years. They are primarily for outward consumption. There will be no significant internal changes in the Soviet Union, other than for cosmetic purposes. Our purpose is to disarm the Americans and let them fall asleep.”

-Mikhail Gorbachev, speech to the Soviet Politburo, November 1987

It was quite amazing to watch him come over here and become the quintessential environmentalist. I mean, really, one day you’re undermining the west and the next day you’re embracing it. Whittaker Chambers gave us a measuring device to use with ‘former’ communists and it is this:  If they say they’ve changed and turned away and they have no more to say than that….They’re lying. When someone turns away from communism they rail against it and because they’ve finally realized that at its root all of the worst of human emotions are foaming and trying to boil over, so they can’t stop railing against it and fighting it. Gorbachev failed that test right out of the gate. He was here to do more of what he’d always done …. Infiltrate and take over from the inside. Just like Anatoly Golitsyn said they’d do. The press quietly ignored that as well. Here’s another one:  Maurice Strong, called the champagne socialist by many. The funny thing is that one of the other people (George Soros) I was going to mention was already in the article I have referenced below. You can get a little background on him in the same article. Notice if you will what he did to the bank of England. He’s doing the same thing to Greece right now. Sociopath starts with an S as do Socialist and Soros. There’s another one that starts with ‘S’…. Snopes. When you check out something on snopes.com you will notice rather quickly that there is a liberal bias. You can thank Soros for that, too. Did I mention that he’s also one of the regular visitors to the current resident of the White House?

Now, enough about these people. Let’s discuss the trends I’ve been alluding to. I have included a ridiculous number of links at the bottom of this article because there really is that much that needs to be looked at to fully understand this predicament we’re in. First off they are using your tax dollars against you and this is that seismic shift in the cold war. I said in a previous article that the enemy had developed a bit of a limp. When it became obvious that the scientists were cooking the books for communism and global warming it was a serious blow to their agenda. One of the many ways in which they’d planned to loot us was with carbon credits, cap and trade, etc. Once it became obvious that manmade global warming was a lie they were in serious trouble. Agenda 21 requires us to be in fear for the world and feeling guilty so that we will comply. Before I sign off here I’d like to add one more thing about the world in which they want us to live. No middle class and they’re in charge. It’s really that simple. At the moment they have their little minions occupying Wall Street, Trotsky style, unions and all.

Now, on the local front and in your home town. I have given you a good number of links and stated what they lead to. The UN and their cheerleaders can be stopped cold but it’s up to us. We can’t sit back and wait for someone else to do something. That’s how we got to where we are right now. Our form of government requires us to be involved or accept the fact that our family members at some point in time will end up with a boot heel in their mouth because we were either lazy or cowards. Remember that at this point they have the upper levels of government tied up and pretty much under control. What they don’t have and absolutely have to have is the local government under control. That’s where we come in. That is where we can stop them. All it takes is a few hours to get caught up and remember this isn’t for us …. It’s for those who come after us. We can’t hand them a shell of a nation that’s been gutted any more than our fathers and grandfathers could.

Keep in mind as you do your research that they’ll never tell you what they’re really up to. If you were involved in something like this, would you? They make everything sound so warm and fuzzy. Almost huggable.

Here’s a good presentation on agenda 21. I got to see this one in person. This is a long one, but once you’ve watched it you’ll be both angry and informed. Two things politicians need to see.

Here’s a foul mouthed genius refuting it and you will notice that nobody is allowed to comment. (A hallmark of the left to say the least.) You will notice that he never mentions ICLEI and obviously has no idea how this works or else he would have understood how a low level politician would have been present at one of these meetings. Since he didn’t allow comments I found another place to make my comments.

Witness - (Out of the Pumpkin Patch)
           R.A. Hawkins

When Whittaker Chambers turned away from the Communists and became an informant he was told by a fellow defector that he was going to be on the losing side and that it would be a long time before Communism was rooted out and destroyed. Mr. Chambers said he was well aware of that. Communism is one of those things that can wrap itself up as anything it wants, and does so as often as it needs to. It is a religion that believes man can become perfect as long as he’s controlled by the right government. This is why progressives will always turn to their god the government for everything.

When he walked away from the Communists he had documents (microfilm) that he said Alger Hiss had given him, which were to be given to the Russians. Those documents were hidden at the pumpkin patch on his farm. Eventually Hiss went to jail for perjury, but not for spying for the Russians. Don’t forget that a lot of the old bootleggers and prohibition rum runners went to jail for tax evasion because they couldn’t quite nail them on their greater crimes. Hiss was a high level official with the State Department and became the first Secretary General of the United Nations. It is for this reason that the UN is often called “The House that Hiss built”. Quite simply the United Nations is a Communist thorn in the side of this nation. It is a Russian tool and a den of spies. It is a shape-shifter, too. At the moment it’s a caring entity that’s trying to save man from his own certain ecological demise.

There was also another rather interesting character coming onto the scene in that general time frame. His name was Anatoliy Golitsyn and he became a member of the Communist party in 1945. By 1946 he had graduated from the Moscow school of military counterintelligence. He was a major player in the Communist party during Stalin’s reign. He was witness to the many power struggles, but most importantly he was part of an elite group within the KGB that was responsible for planning the future strategy against the United States. The KGB decided to begin using activist style intelligence operations. He had a large number of documents and as he attempted to alert the authorities in the west he became aware that he wasn’t being taken seriously and neither was the threat. Had he talked to Mr. Chambers he would have realized that he was a little too late. The west was already in the process of losing. He eventually decided to release his information to us the people. You can find his work at Amazon.com and many other book stores. One of the books is ‘New Lies For Old’ and another one of his books is called ‘The Perestroika Deception’

Anatoliy severed his ties with Russia in 1961. The media routinely called him paranoid, but let’s get serious here for a moment, shall we? These are the same dummies that are trying once again to pick the best candidates for our elections. They are the reason we’re in the mess we’re in right now, that and the rather sad fact that not enough people are paying attention to the right things. He made a fair number of predictions and so far only about eight haven’t come true yet. Those predictions were regarding the long term strategy of the Communist party in Russia. One of those predictions regarding their strategy was that they would neutralize their old enemy Germany. Another prediction was that they would make overtures of peace towards the west. They were keenly aware after having done much research that rich people tend to get a little detached and lose it. They knew the Nouveau Bourgeois wouldn’t see it coming. They would be too busy having fun. Now a few lines back I mentioned two strategic moves they would make. Do you remember what they did to accomplish these two goals? It was a two-fer. They dropped the walls and opened up to the west. When Germany wanted to reunite they gave lip service to a few concerns they had regarding their old enemy.  When Germany was reunited it was like a bloodless coup and nobody noticed. We were too busy claiming a victory. We had won the cold war. What really happened was that the conservatives in Germany were suddenly a minority. Now they had a number of people on their political rolls that had grown up under a different banner. Nice move.

By letting us think they had lost and we had won they were welcomed with open arms, or in short, they were free to travel and spy as and when they chose. They were also now able to get that activist ball rolling. I look at all of the gadgets we can make over here for when it’s time to unleash the dogs of war and I’m amazed at what we can do, but I’m stunned at what the Communists can do with people.

The Communists eventually realized that they wouldn’t be able to beat us technologically so they chose a different approach. They use a different kind of engineering. They use social engineering and they’re the best. Look at the Democratic Party these days. What an awesome job they did on them. And the media? Who even thinks seriously for a second at trusting them?

Since we have an election coming up soon and many of us are behind the curve on this subject I’m going to tell you what I’ve been alluding to. Agenda 21 reads like the Communist Manifesto and the United Nations has made a lot of headway. They can be stopped cold, but it’s up to us the people to do it. My next article will have a little more history in it and after that it’s going to be all about what we can do to stop them. I’ll also give you some of their buzz words. You hear those words come out of a politician and you know they’re against us or they’re just plain stupid.

What War? - (War is Peace....Freedom is Slavery….Ignorance is Strength)
          R.A. Hawkins

In the past when a conquering entity rolled into a country they did so with the intention of locking down on population centers such as cities or towns first. Now, that’s not a bad idea if you’re in an openly declared butt whooping contest. After that all that remains to be done is to deal with all of those pesky independent country folk.

What might a future conquering entity do should they decide to take us by farce as opposed to by force? A farce that appears to be humorous at first, but in the end only looks like a farce because it involves a skillfully exploited situation. There are some amusing characters in this if one is watching closely, but this is very serious.

Now here comes the bad news….That conquering entity is already here right now and it is an old enemy which has learned quite well. This entity is operating from the house that Hiss built, the United Nations, and it is quietly working towards conquering those pesky country folk first. They’re doing it through a process called either Smart Growth/ Sustainable Development or Bio Domes/Bio Diversity, as well as through EPA regulations. This conqueror moves in circles we tend to laugh at if we’re conservative and the enemy prefers it if that’s all we do.

This is East meets West in the wilderness of mirrors. You’ve seen bits and pieces of it such as the Climate Gate leaks that yanked the rug out from under the U. N. Global Warming crowd. Then in a spy versus spy counter move Assange and Wikileaks appear where Western documents, meaning Western as in US, are leaked by someone working for the other side. The fact of the matter is that the cold war never ended…. there was just an unnoticed seismic shift in tactics.

At the moment this conqueror is developing a limp. Let me back up a few years to when I was much younger. It used to be in the late sixties and seventies that we were all going to freeze to death in the dark. The acolytes to that dire prophesy floundered for years when it didn’t happen. Then we had global warming which is where this limp I mentioned is coming from. Because of the leaks I mentioned the global warming hype is dead already, or at least dying. I know….don’t worry. Even Gore will catch up eventually and get back into lockstep with the other useful idiots. Now they’re trying to regain their foothold and are gasping about climate change. Okay the climate has changed numerous times over the millions of years this planet has been around. The real question however is this…  ‘Is it being caused by mankind?’ A bit, but it’s negligible. We certainly weren’t around the last time the place heated up or cooled down. I was delighted as I watched these nut jobs go to global warming conferences only to have them snowed out when there really shouldn’t have been snow. Those who spout this garbage are the foot soldiers of the enemy. Try getting into an argument with them. It’s a lot like arguing with a stop sign. It’s always the same rhetoric and it doesn’t have to make any sense. They’re just trying to wear you down. Once they gain a foothold in the ‘There is environmental change occurring’ game their next step will be to go back to the ‘It’s man made’, but at first they’ll rephrase it to soften it before they try to hit the gas pedal again.

In order to fully understand what’s really happening I have to go back to the early part of the last century. Yeah imagine that. Some of us can actually keep a straight face and talk about the last century.

To fully understand what I’m going to be delving into I have to go back to something that happened in Petrograd during the month of February in 1917. Tsar Nicholas II abdicated the throne and the Romanov dynasty was passed to the Russian Provincial Government under Prince Georgy Lvov. This Provisional Government was an alliance between socialists and liberals. Around eight months later as this provisional government began to settle in and became almost established something else happened. It was the October surprise. The February revolution isn’t given a solid date because it took a while and sometimes it’s a bit difficult to say when it started and exactly when it ended. The October surprise is quite a different animal altogether. It gets a date of October 25th. The reason for the difference is that this was a smack down and the starting point for the Russian Revolution which ended in December 1922 with the formation of the Soviet Union. The Bolsheviks were communists and they allowed the other side to get the destabilization work done before they moved in and took over. There weren’t enough hard core communists to do much of anything at first. They had to use a different approach. They were behind those who did all of that work, but that was about it. Oh, by the way and it may seem a little familiar, but the liberals and socialists were looking for ‘reform’ or if you prefer ‘change’ and they certainly got it.

Vladimir Lenin died on January 21, 1924 and Joseph Stalin took over. Stalin was much more focused and less philosophical than Lenin. He wanted to lock down the Soviet Union before anything else. He might have been just a little self-absorbed too, though. There were a lot of leaders doing that back then. Stalin ran Leon Trotsky out of the country so he could get down to business. Trotsky was a proponent of the Marxist idea of overthrowing Capitalism in all countries through the actions of the organized working class, with the end goal of world Socialism and a stateless communism.

Here are the two patterns I’m going to be delving into for the next several articles:  The use of dissatisfied people to accomplish goals when you can’t do it yet for whatever reason, and the long struggle that ends with a betrayal as in the October Surprise Revolution. I’ll be showing in this series of articles that this enemy, or conqueror, that I’ve been alluding to uses these patterns. In my next column I’ll have a little more forgotten and in some cases denied history and then we’ll begin to move forward.

A Taylor Made Defeat - (Not All Young Guns Are That Swift)
           R.A. Hawkins

In October of 2009 I got a call from an old friend. He asked me if I was going to sit this one out. He was of course referring to the results of the 2008 elections. I let him know I wasn’t planning on sitting anything out at this point. By the end of the following weekend I was a full-fledged AstroTurf tea bagger, as certain people like to call us. For the first time in years I was with family again even though we grew up under many different roofs and hadn’t met before. By the next weekend I was working on a campaign.

For those of you who’ve never tried that, give it a try. It’s a real eye opener. We had a real Tea Party candidate and he was on fire. He sort of got pushed into the whole thing, but he was definitely willing to have a go at it and he was a sharp one. He’s since moved away and it’ll be a long time before I see him and his family, but they’re friends for life. Now how does a guy sort of get pushed into something life changing like running for office? It went like this.

Our Congressman Gene Taylor was holding town hall meetings where he kept getting ambushed by Tea Party members. At one such meeting Gene did a little tap dance and dodged a question. Someone got a little uppity (That’s how they view us, by the way) and asked why. Our candidate didn’t hesitate to answer as to why Gene wasn’t willing to give a straight answer. I heard that happened several times and that it caused Gene to lose it a little. That’s when they asked him why didn’t he run for Gene’s office? He thought long and hard about it and being civic minded, checked to see if any of the other likely runners were going to try to run. They all said Gene was unbeatable. A little more research and it was game on.

Earlier the Republican Party had gone to the Tea Party and asked for help in getting the signatures they needed for a voter ID petition. They managed, through the help of our candidate and the Tea Party, to get almost forty percent more signatures than they needed. The local representatives of the Republican Party thanked everybody at a special meeting one evening and then, just to let us know how very much they appreciated us they rolled out a new candidate to run against ours in the Republican Primary. It wasn’t to be a campaign event, just an introduction of the candidates followed by a meet and greet. Their cherry picked dullard didn’t get that email I guess because the halls where we were to meet were lined with his signs, tee shirts and tables. One of his campaign workers even smirked at me and I laughed at her. Their candidate? Steve Palazzo. Earlier he’d been one of the possible candidates that said Gene was unbeatable but, here he was.

The introduction turned into a debate, and the meet and greet was cut to a few handshakes. I think our candidate was supposed to be caught off guard. Funny thing was that if Steve had been forewarned and was supposed to be prepared he should have been embarrassed, but he wasn’t. He didn’t even know he lost the debate. It was like witnessing one of Saddam Hussein’s victories. You know what I mean -- the city is in flames and they blew up five hundred people in another building next door, but they still missed you. One of those victories.

There were five or six more debates and each time the people flocked to our candidate and ignored Palazzo. After five or six losses somebody convinced him he should stop. He refused all debates after that. He didn’t need to debate; he had something else. He was ‘One of the Anointed” now. Pete Sessions had brought him into ‘The Young Guns Program’.

I was really impressed to find out what the criteria was for getting into the young guns program. “How much money can you raise? Who do you know?” Odd isn’t it? Not a single thing regarding ideology. Why do you think that is? It’s because it doesn’t matter to a lot of them. It’s all about getting your party into power. And I’m going to finish this one up in a moment here to explain why that works. I mean the get your party into power thing.

Now the primary election was a disaster because as happens all too often very few people went to vote. It was too close to a holiday to be worrying about what was happening to our country.  It had always been said that District 4 in Mississippi couldn’t be taken without winning the coast. We won the election inland in a big way, but we lost the coast and Palazzo won.

When the general election came around Palazzo lost the coast to the Democrat, Gene Taylor, verifying the rumors we’d been hearing about Democrats weighting the polls by crossing over and voting for the weaker Republican candidate, Palazzo, earlier in the Primary. Now Palazzo did win the General election, but that was inland that carried him, not the coast.

All of those people who hadn’t bothered to vote in the Primary Election? They came back and voted for ‘R’ because they couldn’t stand Pelosi. What none of them realized was that the people that had given them Palazzo were Pelosi supporters on the coast, and that Taylor was actually the more conservative candidate despite the ‘D’ behind his name.

Why do we have “party only groupthink” in our government? Because we have it in the way the local people think as well. That is a big part of the problem. Or as a certain person once said…. “People get the government they deserve.”

Local Politics And The Watermelon Factor - (Green On The Outside Red On The Inside?)
            R.A. Hawkins

After the 2008 election I found myself once again in politics and I’ll probably not get out of them for the rest of my life because of the many things I relearned. I’ll write several articles on this time period because they were interesting times and they ain’t over yet.

I think it was around the end of summer in 2010 when we got wind of a special county supervisor meeting regarding the creation of a sustainable housing development. I knew exactly what they meant when they used that special little word ‘sustainable’. It meant extremely controlled and shared misery. Hurray! A green community going in nice and close to me! I knew it was going to be like the green cancer of the south known as Kudzu, planting instructions are as follows: Get a root and toss it in a ten foot deep hole. Mulch with concrete and fertilize with flaming diesel. Warning! After applying the fertilizer….Run! For those of you who have never seen it. Let’s just say it’s stunning. Kudzu overtakes even power lines. It can grow 14 inches a night. Just like the green community was going to do. It’s not a community - it’s a condition -- or a disease.

I took a trip over there and checked their map against the actual property lines to make sure we weren’t looking at a government land grab. I was amazed to discover that we weren’t, at least not this time. I had to laugh as I surveyed the area against their map and took a few pictures.

On the night of the meeting a good number of us gathered and I could see this was like the storming of Frankenstein’s castle with pitchforks and rakes. Nobody was very happy. I was introduced to a few of the people and found one woman who was about to go apoplectic. Oh Yeah! All I was going to have to do was pass the information on and then sit back and enjoy the show.

The meeting opened and all of the players were present, even the guy representing the company that did the study for the county supervisors. I’m pretty sure his company came up with the idea in the first place. I’ll touch on them again later in a different article. He was introduced along with some poor guy who was the supervisor’s spokesperson. Only one of the county supervisors was present. He had a few words about the whole thing after the meeting.

Anyway the meeting opens to comments and questions from the floor and I smiled as my champion sallied forth into the fray. She talked a bit about who she was and about her straight ‘A’ son who she’d home schooled. She had that company lackey feeling calm and relaxed. I was relaxed too. She had me too. Suddenly she was in full contact with her inner berserker. Pointing at the spokesperson for the supervisors and the lackey she asked a question. “Do I look like I have my head up my butt?”

“No Ma’am.”

She hammered them a few more times with that and then she pointed at me as she addressed them. “Mister Hawkins here showed me a few photographs of the road where you want to set up your utopia. Have you ever seen the signs at either end of the road?”

“No Ma’am.”

“CORRECTIONAL FACILITY EMERGENCY STOPPING ONLY” She was just getting warmed up. “And your community center across from those government buildings? Do you know what those buildings are?”

“No Ma’am.”

“Those buildings are the jail and you want families shopping and swimming on the beach and having all kinds of fun where you’re not supposed to stop because it isn’t safe. Leave it to the government to come up with something like this. A comedian probably couldn’t. It took government officials being serious to do it.”

The lackey decided that ‘No Ma’am’ wasn’t going to work here so he tried to sound engaged. “How far away from a prison do think it would be safe to do something like this?”

At that point we all got down to the heart of the issue and what was really happening here. The one County Supervisor that had the nerve to show up because he was against it thanked us for caring enough to actually show up and voice our opinions while the rest of our brethren sat at home and screwed around. He told everyone where and when the next meeting was going to be so everyone could let the cowering supervisors feel the love.

Pitch forks and rakes did the job. The whole idea got dumped, along with a bunch of incumbent supervisors. The point is this: For those who are of the lock and load crowd waiting to be called into the fray: I have more respect for the woman who let them know what she thought. If someone is afraid to speak out now they’re just afraid. Find someone who isn’t and grab your rake or pitchfork. From what I’ve seen, the ones we’re after are the ones who are out hoeing for the corporatists. Go get you some!

“Never More!” Quothe the Raver - (So You Think You Run the Company Store?)
           R.A. Hawkins

Watching the results of the straw poll in Iowa revealed something startling to me; the leftwing media isn’t bankrupt financially too. They’re still around, trying to do what they do best…. Ramming the ship of state onto the rocks over and over again, until it sinks. Once again these thoughtless weenies are trying the pick the candidates for the Republicans. They did that last time and we, much to my horror, ended up with McCain as our sacrifice to the gods of political cowardice and stupidity. The end result of that train wreck was one of the most pathetic elections I’ve ever seen. In some cases angry conservatives decided it was time to let those butt-hats running the GOP know they weren’t voting for a RINO. Others, such as me, voted for the RINO, knowing that many people are easily fooled and would instead vote for the out of the closet loser. The end result was the people voted for the ‘Hope and Change’ loser just like they did in Germany all those years ago.

That last election was like the Sword of Damocles hanging over my head as I ranted and raved. Now it’s just a hellish rollercoaster ride of vindication punctuated with brief moments of terror and horrific epiphanies. One thing I came away from all of that with was that never again should the people listen to the media regarding anything. They seem to think that they own the company store and we all work for the company so we have to shop there or else. Not true. We should take a page from the liberal activism book of inane behavior. It’s time to watch the news shows, make note of their advertisers and begin letter writing campaigns. Cut the media off at the knees by killing their financial support. Let them write for free like so many of us who really care about this country do. I suspect they will opt out for more fitting positions, such as inventing remote control toilet paper and other useful items to spur the country’s flagging economy forward.

What inspired this particular rant/commentary on my part was watching the Jon Stewart comments on the straw poll. Bachman won, followed closely by Ron Paul. As Stewart said, it was like Ron Paul was the thirteenth floor of an American hotel. Nobody wanted to talk about his position in the poll or even mention his name. They talked about the one who had so few votes he quit the race and they talked about everyone else, but not a peep about Ron Paul. They were really pushing Romney and they’ll continue to do that because they know he’s a ‘New and Improved’ McCain. Trying to sell the public on a conservative Republican from Massachusetts should be like trying to market garlic quiche flavored toothpaste. Romney pushed his own version of Obamacare and like all collectivists he said the same thing. “It just wasn’t implemented properly.” The state he hails from has always voted in John Kerry and Ted Kennedy. (Apparently the liberals who are no longer with us are only allowed to vote. This opened up space for a faux conservative.) And many cheered when Scott Brown won, but then he voted for everything liberal. Surprise! On the first morning of your honeymoon you woke up next to a drag queen. Congratulations!

Before I continue here, there are a lot of things I agree with Ron Paul on. I won’t vote for him because there are even more things I don’t agree with him on. I do love the issues he forces the mainstream politicians to talk about, though. He’s a thorn in their sides and I love him for that alone. What I have zero tolerance for is the media and the mainstream politicians trying to ignore him. They do so at their own peril. The politicians are so busy bowing and scraping to the media that they’re ignoring the growing flames of rage beneath them.

I suspect that part of the political problem we have in this country is that we tend to try to not offend others.  I really don’t care anymore.  I’ve noticed the liberals are pretty content with offending me, so I serve it up nice and hard. And the media? They can be counteracted easily if we don’t hide our light under a basket. One of the principles of manipulating the opposition is to make it appear that they’re in the minority. Consensus, or the appearance thereof, is a powerful tool. Coincidentally this principle that our liberal media uses is the same one the Nazis used in Germany. The simple reason is that it works. It is upon us, the targets of this game, to ignore their rules.

In my business we have a saying, “If you’re not part of the solution, you’re part of the problem.” The media obviously operates under a different credo. “If you’re not part of the problem, you’re not generating sales.” Or as I said in an article many years ago, “Eagles may soar higher, but weasels never get sucked into jet engines!”

‘Forward’, He Cried From The Rear - (You’re Kidding, Right?)
           R.A. Hawkins

As we headed for summer this year I listened to the likes of Carville (The lefty skin head) and numerous other leftwing minions as they warned of possible violence and uprisings here in the US. Did I just say they were warning us of the possibility? Yeah I did, didn’t I? I guess I was just being nice. I’m over that now. The left has called for civility in the political dialogue for quite some time now. While they’ve opined they have repeatedly pulled stunts like Carville’s. Now we have Al Gore openly calling on Americans to rise up and have their own “Arab Spring”

Guess what stupid? We already did that and you are acting like you missed it. It was during the Health Care debate. It’s called the Tea Party. The Tea Party, according to the delusional Gore and Kerry, is run by the Republicans. Well that certainly explains why the Tea Party freshmen were the only ones who voted against the debt ceiling increase while Boehner and the other RINOs and lefties whined.

Gore said that he wants people to organize at the grass roots level. We did that and then after the huge protests we all went home and got decent people elected. Well in some cases it worked that way, but the point is that the change is coming, and the left does not like it at all. That is why they’re trying to incite trouble. If everyone will think back a bit they’ll remember what happened right at the end of the Health Care debate. Remember the terror and the fear from the left as bricks went sailing through windows? I remember that well. In the end it turned out that every one of those bricks was tossed by a liberal stooge trying to smear the other side. I was pretty certain it wasn’t conservatives throwing bricks… Tossing a brick through a window when nobody is around is a cowardly act, just like flash mob attacks.  Conservatives don’t do cowardly feel good stunts like that. When they finally decide they’ve had enough, what they do is thought out with a point to it. It isn’t random.

I will say this to Al Gore and John Kerry; if a conservative made these types of calls to action the leftwing panty boys in the media would be up in arms and whimpering about the lack of civility. They would have had the same reaction to the voter intimidation in 2008 if it had been done by anyone other than the Black Panthers. They would have completely lost it if those same intimidators had been let off the hook by a conservative Attorney General. (And by the way, a conservative wouldn’t have let them off the hook. He’d have done his job regardless of race and background.) But since the Attorney General that let the Black Panthers off of the hook was Holder, a radical liberal, it’s not really news because nobody expects any better from a liberal anyway.

I would like to add that in spite of this administrations best effort, (actually because of it) unemployment is worse, foreign dependence on oil is worse because drilling here isn’t allowed if you’re a US company, and the economy is worse. We just had our credit rating downgraded for the first time ever. I’ve watched the stock Market tank a couple of times now, and this last time that very evening was spent with Obama leading a conga line in Chicago. It was an entire evening spent saying “Let them eat cake.” It should be obvious to everyone by now that there is no rational middle ground between liberalisms new face and conservatism. That being said, I don’t want to see any compromise on anything with them. Every time there’s compromise we lose, so it’s time for Boehner to grow up and accept that, or to make it official and put a D behind his name. At least that way we’d have one guy on the other side of the aisle we know we can count on to cave in when the heat’s on.

In closing; I’m a little fed up with the left calling for civility in our political dialogue while they’re calling us terrorists. They are economic terrorists and ill-mannered ones at that. Their calls for uprisings are feeding the growing violence and they’re aware of this, but they’re comfortable with it. If they can create a news spike to terrorize the American people they think they can get anything they want. They’ll try to use the violence to say something like “If there are this many willing to resort to this, how many more are there that feel this way? Lions and tigers and bears Oh my!” I suspect the lefties will end up getting a lot more than they want if they don’t cool their jets.
